Earthy Indigo Blues...
Just love this combination of dark indigo blues through to lighter denim tones. The contrasting natural elements of wood, wicker and linens add texture and balance the strong blue hues. Indigo blue is a dark midnight blue - the colour is broken down into one quarter purple and three quarters blue. It is the purple component that give it its depth and warmth. The colour indigo is named after the dye derived from the plant Indigofera tinctoria. It is mainly used in the production of denim cloth for blue jeans - and as we all know, the more you wash jeans the lighter they become. Be brave with blue, but, as shown here, mix it up with other textures to create warmth and harmony in your home. Blue is not cold, but, full of depth and is considered beneficial to the mind and body as it slows human metabolism producing a calming effect. Bring some blue into your life...
