In this colour palette I have combined Farrow and Ball's popular "Inchyra Blue" with "Light Blue". It can be difficult knowing how to use darker shades in a scheme, but, by adding lighter tones - like Light Blue and some grey - you can find a perfect balance. I have added a fabulous heavy linen fabric by Zoe Glencross called Wide Slate Stripe. With muted tones like these paint colours the addition of textures is so important. The linen fabric on the armchair is again by Zoe Glencross - named Mottram Meadow - the smaller print works so well on furniture with the larger pattern on the cushion fabric as contrast. The pottery is by one of my favourite companies - Broste Copenhagan - love the blue/grey tones. The dinnerware collection is called Nordic Sea and that's just as I see this combination of colours - like the Sea. Not the bright blues of the summer, but, the cool, grey blues of the autumn and winter.
